Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel
What's The Story
David Seville wants what's best for his little fuzzy family, and so he decides to send Alvin, Simon and Theodore to attend a human school. It's tough enough fitting in even for human kids, and the Chipmunks soon discover that they have their work cut out for them. He stumbles upon the perfect scheme to outdo the Chipmunks, with unexpected and adorable results.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus
What's The Story
Centuries ago, Dr. Parnassus made a bet with the devil and won immortality, which he later traded for youth so that he could be with his true love. Now it's time for him to live up to his end of the deal: he must surrender his daughter to the devil when she reaches the age of sixteen. But Parnassus, now the owner of a magical traveling carnival, decides to make one last wager to save the beautiful Valentina. If he can seduce five souls before the devil does, his daughter will be free. But does he have what it takes to best Satan himself?

Nine
What's The Story
This flashy Broadway-style movie musical follows a famous Italian film director, Guido Contini, whose personal life and artistic life have both descended into chaos. In particular, Guido seems to be surrounded by women, all of whom make separate demands of him which are sometimes difficult to balance. He must learn to coexist peacefully with his mother, his agent, his wife, and his mistress, to name a few.
Three Good Reasons
1. Director Rob Marshall, who made the Oscar-winning "Chicago," adapts another stellar Broadway show with his same brand of sexy spectacle.
2. The renowned and incredibly versatile Daniel Day Lewis gets a chance to sing as Guido Contini.
3. Need another reason? How about seven more: Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, Kate Hudson, Marion Cotillard, Fergie, Judi Dench, and Sophia Loren."
Bet You Didn't Know
"Nine" is a movie based on a play based on another play based on another movie. Federico Fellini's original movie was called "8 1/2," after the number of films he had directed (the "1/2" is because he once collaborated with another director). The musical's title comes from the age Contini remembers himself being in flashbacks.
Sherlock Holmes
What's The Story
Detective Sherlock Holmes is the most brilliant investigative mind in all of England, and despite his many irritating quirks, he always has the pragmatic and faithful Watson at his back. Now, when a malicious mastermind begins to set in motion a plan that could threaten England's future, Holmes and Watson must not only show off their mental prowess, but also roll up their sleeves and throw a few punches in order to stay on top of the escalating crisis.
Three Good Reasons
1. Sherlock Holmes has been a beloved character for over a century, and it's time he got a modern update that mines the original material in ways previous movies never have.
2.With Robert Downey, Jr. as Holmes, Jude Law as Watson, and Rachel McAdams as femme fatale Irene Adler, the film more than meets its quota of overly talented (and good-looking) stars.
3.In Arthur Conan Doyle's novels, Holmes would mention his dangerous adventures and daring fights that happened outside the story. Guy Ritchie, director of "Snatch" and "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels" is just the man to put the action front and center."
Bet You Didn't Know
Harry Potter fans: if Sherlock Holmes's house looks strangely familiar to you, it may be because it's the same set used as the home of Sirius Black in 2007's "Order of the Phoenix."
